Mr. James (“Jim”) Pearson is a native Texan, who received his J.D. from the University of Houston School of Law. He has a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Pearson is a founding Partner of Pearson & Pearson, L.L.P (1993-present). Mr. Pearson is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court -- Southern District of Texas, all Texas State District Courts, Texas Courts of Appeal and the Texas Supreme Court. He is a member of the Houston Bar Association and the State Bar of Texas.
Mr. Pearson was elected to the Board of Directors of Baylor Partners and is the President elect for 2009-10.

The Houston law firm of Pearson & Pearson knew just how to go about recruiting troops with the right stuff... The response was immediate and overwhelming. "I just got off the phone with one of the company's pilots," reports Jim Pearson, a partner in the firm. "Those guys had their own air force. He told me, 'If you send me a packet out today, this is where I live, but I don't know how long I'll be here.' Houston attorney James Pearson, who leveraged his frustration with the beleaguered America Online Inc. into a class action, now is trying to leverage his position as class counsel into a refund of at least $20 million for Texas subscribers to AOL.Pearson filed a complaint April 17 with Texas Attorney General Dan Morales on behalf of allmembers of the Texas class, which is estimated at 500,000 to 1 million.Pearson, of Pearson & Pearson, asks for refunds from AOL of up to two months of service for each class member, which would total nearly $20 million for 500,000 class members.He notes in a letter to Morales ... that a settlement AOL signed in February with Morales and other attorneys general calls for AOL to pay a refund to customers as long as they file a complaint with the AG’s office by a June deadline...
